Why Genoa

Genova is a beautiful coastal city with a population of around 500k on the Mediterranean that has europes largest medieval historical centre. It has many historically relevant sites and is close to the Italian Riviera and the Cinque Terre boasting amongst other locations, Portino the idyllic fishing village famous the world over. Most destinations are a short train ride away.

Despite its beauty, cultural and tourist attractions, Genova does not suffer from overcrowding as many other tourist destinations, making it the perfect venue for a conference where the attendees will easily find accommodation at different price ranges. A professional travel agency will be available to organise short guided tours. Pre-booking will be available online through the conference website.

Weather in Genova in March is usually mild, with sunny days, low probability of light rain, and high temperatures of around 15°c with lows of 9°c. There were an average of about 7 rainy days per month in the period 1971-2000
